Sign the Petition: Promote LGBTQIAPN+ Inclusion in Climate Spaces!

The Intersectional Queers of the Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) invite you to join our campaign for greater visibility and inclusion of LGBTIQ+ individuals in climate negotiations and advocacy spaces.

This campaign is the result of dialogues held during SB62 in Bonn between LGBTQIAPN+ activists engaged in the climate agenda. In light of the recurring invisibility, silencing, and multiple intersectionalities that impact our community in climate negotiation and advocacy spaces, we recognize the urgency of coordinating strategic actions that increase our visibility and ensure fair, effective, and intersectional participation in decision-making processes.

With COP30 taking place in Latin America after almost a decade, we see a historic opportunity to strengthen an LGBTQIAPN+ climate movement with a regional and/or global perspective, committed to the anti-racist and decolonial struggle.

Our goal is to promote the inclusion of issues related to gender, identities, and intersectionalities in climate agendas, promoting panels, events, actions, and demonstrations that celebrate our existence and demand climate justice with equity.

By signing this petition, you support the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ rights, identities, and intersectional perspectives in climate agendas and help us advocate for equitable, just, and inclusive climate policies.
