Dr. Demet Intepe is a climate justice and adaptation policy expert focusing on gender-responsive and locally-led solutions to the climate crisis. As Climate Adaptation & Resilience Expert at Practical Action, she focuses on adaptation measures and finance mechanisms that empower communities. She also leads policy strategy within civil society networks as chair of the Climate Action Network UK’s Adaptation Working Group and co-chair of the Women and Gender Constituency’s Adaptation Working Group. Her work bridges research, advocacy, and practice, connecting global policy with lived realities of communities vulnerable to climate change.
