Mwanahamisi (“Mishy”) Singano is an African feminist passionate about dismantling structural and intersecting inequalities to build a more just, equal, and sustainable world. With over 15 years of experience working alongside women’s rights organizations, civil society, and governments, she brings deep expertise in feminist policy advocacy across all three Rio Conventions (UNCBD, UNCCD, UNFCCC) and UNDRR. As Director of Policy at WEDO, Mishy leads global advocacy for gender-responsive climate and environmental governance. Her work is grounded in community power and feminist solidarity, pushing for climate action that centers rights, justice, and care.
