Patricia is a Melanesian Indigenous feminist from Maluku, Indonesia, whose politics are shaped by her peoples’ long struggle against climate colonialism and the global fight for Indigenous sovereignty and liberation. As part of ESCR-Net, she coordinates the Environment and ESCR Working Group — a global formation of more than 100 social movements, climate justice advocates, feminists and environmental organizations confronting the intersecting systems of oppression driving the climate catastrophe. An organizer and campaigner at heart, she draws from years of experience in mobilizing grassroots and feminist movements that challenge capitalism and colonialism, grounding their struggles in solidarity and collective care.
