BONN, Germany (June 1, 2015) — On Monday, Queensley O. Ajuyakpe from Women Environmental Programme, Nigeria, on behalf of the Constituency, delivered a statement in the opening of the 42nd Session of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI), calling for a gender-responsive climate policy related to mitigation action and technology development and transfer. Further, she reiterated the “importance of technology transfer to developing countries and [that] any technology transfer should be made accessible to women and build on existing traditional knowledge of indigenous peoples, local communities and women.”
