
COMPACT is a social start-up for low-carbon and advocated towards governments, local authorities,
construction using local materials. It addresses the booming use of GHG emitting concrete in Senegal. The founders, a female engineer, and a female entrepreneur, Earth Bricks (C.S.E.B.) that reduce cement use by 30 to 50%. They raised the technical skills of 20 local workers, and advocated towards governments, local authorities, design labs and architects to adapt standards in the building sector.
Their first CSEB constructions serve women-led SMEs with a house for women fishers industrialized the production of Compressed Stabilized and small shops for an antique market. COMPACT employs workers living with disabilities, covering their medical care.
