The Population & Sustainability Network was co-founded and formally launched as a Partnership for Sustainable Development under the UN Commission for Sustainable Development at the United Nations in New York in April 2004. The Network collaborates on advocacy and project activities. Advocacy actions relate to the unmet need for family planning, as well as the connections between population dynamics and climate change, population dynamics and the environment, and current unsustainable consumption patterns. Project activities are undertaken by Network members in collaboration with the Margaret Pyke Trust, and are designed to support the Network’s advocacy. The Network is administered and coordinated by the staff of the Margaret Pyke Trust, from their London offices.
